Grounds maintenance in Blackburn
Blackburn is a patch we already work in every week. We maintain a high school site in Darwen year-round and we cover schools, businesses and clubs across the borough.

How we work in Blackburn
Coverage takes in Blackburn and Darwen together, with the M65 linking the borough's schools, business parks and sports grounds.
Our client in Darwen took us on when the grounds were tired and neglected. A year later the site is transformed and their estates supervisor put that in writing. The full story is below.

A Darwen school, transformed in a year
When JG took this site on at the start of 2025, the grounds were, in the school's own words, tired and neglected. A year of planned care later, the estates team calls the transformation remarkable.
- Year-round pitch and lawn care
- Hedge trimming and weed control
- Whole-site tidiness on every visit
- Fencing projects
- Pitch and court marking
“Since then, the transformation has been remarkable. The team is consistently reliable, professional, and takes great pride in maintaining our outdoor spaces to an exceptional standard.”
Mick Leigh, Estates Cluster Supervisor (North West), Darwen Vale High School
