Why pitches fail and what we do about it
Most tired pitches share the same problems. The ground is compacted, so water sits on top and the roots stay shallow. The grass is cut too short or too rarely. Worn areas never get repaired, so they turn to mud in October.
We put that right with a simple, season-long routine. Regular cutting at the proper height. Aeration to open the ground up so it drains. Feed at the right times. Repairs to the areas that take the most wear.
When a pitch needs more than routine care, we take it into a full end-of-season renovation.

Before you ask
How often should a grass pitch be cut?
It depends on the season and the sport. In the growing season most pitches need cutting at least weekly. We set a schedule so the surface never gets away from you.
Do you mark the lines too?
Yes. Marking is part of the service. Our GPS guided robot lays straight, consistent lines every time.
Do you look after cricket squares?
Yes. We maintain squares and outfields, from cutting and rolling through to end-of-season work.
Do you maintain bowling greens?
Yes. Bowling greens need close, even cutting and careful feeding. We keep them fast and true through the season and do the renovation work when it ends.

Our pitch drains badly. Can you help?
Usually the cause is compaction. We aerate the ground to open it up so water gets down to the roots. We can assess the pitch and tell you honestly what it needs.
